This facility has taken twelve years of planning and approvals to reach the construction
phase. This facility is planned to treat wastewater from the cities of Black Hawk, Central City and portions
of Gilpin County well beyond year 2050.
We believe that the Black Hawk Fault, which runs through both properties, if disturbed could
create an adverse condition for the wastewater treatment facility. The District's new facility has very large
concrete tanks with untreated sewer water and sludge, along with a potable water system which would
experience a catastrophic event should offsite blasting endanger their structural integrity. Regardless of
where the entrance is for this project, the work that will occur across from the District's property is a
concern.
Thank you for your consideration of our objection.
Sincerely,
BLACK HAWK/CENTRAL CITY
SANITATION DISTRICT
rn ~,~.„,7.~.~
Lynn M.
