06025 Banks and Gesso, LLC
Exhibit H -Wildlife Information
The Granby Ranch Development has been the subject of wildlife studies on the entire
5,000 acres and these studies are summarized below. The permit area has extremely
limited wildlife and wildlife habitat values due to the following factors:
R~C~G V ~®
- Previously disturbed areas containing little to no vegetation;
- Sparse vegetation on undisturbed portions of the site; ~~T 2 ~ 2~~6
Division of Reclamation,
- Human activity on the site and an active golf course completely suGfiOktQd~fitgSafety
the site;
- No water; and
- Vastly superior habitats in the general vicinity which wildlife would favor over
the permit area.
No fish surveys were available for DeBerard Draw (as of 1997, the date of the
Assessment) and it is unlikely that fish populations are present due to low flow rates
after spring runoff and the intermittent nature of the draw.
Several raptors may occur in the general vicinity of the site as migrants or residents.
These include bald eagles, osprey, golden eagles, red-tailed hawks and great horned
owls. There are no known nests, communal roosts or other sensitive raptor habitats in
the vicinity of the site.
Surrounding areas also provide adequate habitat for wildlife species such as elk, deer,
coyote, Nuttall's cottontail, yellow-bellied marmot, least chipmunk, golden-mantled
ground squirrel, pine squirrel, mountain chickadees, northern flicker, pins siskin, dark-
eyedjunco.
No federally listed threatened or endangered species are known to occur on the permit
area or on surrounding properties, as there is a lack of suitable habitat for those species
of wildlife listed on Federal or State threatened or endangered species lists.
Granby Realty Holtlings, LLC September 25, 2006
Overlook Mine Page 14
