TABLE 22-11 <br />Herbicides to be Used at the Yoest Mine <br />(AS of September 1994) <br />2.4-D (numerous trade names) <br />A selective hormone type herbicide for post-emergent control of a variety of annual end <br />perennial broadleaf weeds in pasture and rangeland. Used for general weed control. <br />Dimethvl ene salt of dicamba (Banvel) <br />A selective herbicide for controlling both annual and perennial broadleaf weeds in pasture <br />end rangeland. Used for general weed control. <br />Picloram (Tordon) <br />A systemic, selective herbicide used for control of deep rooted broadleaf weeds in pasture <br />and rangeland. Primarily used for controlling noxious perennial weeds such es Canada <br />thistle, whitetop, and field bindweed. Also may be used for general weed control. <br />Picloram is a restricted use pesticide and will only be applied by a certified applicator <br />• as noted in the need Control Plan. <br />GIYDh orate (ROUnduo) <br />A non-selective, post-emergent herbicide used for control of a broad spectrum of annual <br />and perennial grasses end broadleaf plants. Used for general weed control end development <br />of shrub establishment sites, <br />Napromide (Devrinol) <br />A selective herbicide used for control of grasses and broadleaf weeds in orchards or <br />plantations. Used for development of shrub establishment sites. <br />Oxyflou rf en (Goal) <br />A pre- end post-emergence herbicide used for selective pre- and post-directed control of a <br />wide spectrum of annual broadleaf weeds and grasses in orchards. Used for development of <br />shrub establishment sites. <br />Sulfometuron (Oust) <br />• A non-selective herbicide used to control annual, biennial, and perennial grasses end <br />broadleaf weeds growing in reforestation areas.
