In accordance with <br />Rule 3.03.1(2) up to sixty percent of the bond amount <br />shall be released when the permittee successfully com- <br />pletes backfilling, regrading and drainage control of a <br />bonded area in accordance with his approved reclamation <br />plan. Grand Mesa has completed backfilling, regrading <br />and drainage control of the Red Canyon Mine and has <br />therefore filed this bond release application. <br />An as-built, certified post-mining topographic map, Map <br />No. 2.05.4(2)(C)-2, showing the regraded contours is <br />enclosed. Certified cross-sections of the backfilled <br />and graded areas are also enclosed, Map Nos. <br />2.05.4(2)(C)-4 & 2.05.4(21(C)-5. <br />The only drainage that runs through the mine site is <br />referred to as the major drainage. A certified profile <br />of the major drainage channel is enclosed, Map No. <br />2.05.4(2)(C)-3. A certified cross section of the major <br />drainage channel is shown on DWG. NO. 2.05.4(2)(C)-2. <br />Drainage control has been established in accordance <br />with the approved plan. As provided for in the ap- <br />proved plan, sediment control for two areas is ac- <br />complished using a combination of straw dikes and <br />berms. These two areas are shown on the enclosed Small <br />Area Exemption Map No. 2.05.3(4--3. Run-Off from the <br />service area and office site is directed to the sedi- <br />ment pond by a water bar constructed during April 1989. <br />17.
