Approximately 780,000 tons/year will be <br />extracted from the surface mine. <br />Emissions will be 0.1761 lbs/ton * 780,000 tons = 137,358.0 Ib/year = 68.68 tons/year <br />Underground Mining <br />The moisture content of coal from underground mining will be 4.3% (Lorencito Canyon Mine <br />Permit Application submitted to Division of Minerals and Geology, Colorado Department of <br />Natural Resources, Denver, Colorado, December, 1996).
