A statement about wildlife infromation on the 20 Road Gravel Pit has been prepared by the Colorado <br />Division of Wildlife and can be found on the following page. This statement describes the gerneral effect <br />of the operation both during and after mining on wildlife in the area. <br />Because of the sparse nature of vegetation and lack of any substantial cover, wildlife habatat is limited <br />within the mineral extraction area. Because of this, impacts to wildlife is anticipated to be minimal. There <br />are no know seasonal migatory routes that crosses the operation. The most Important wildlife habitat <br />area in the vicinty of the site is adjacent to the banks of the Colorado River. Information obtained from on <br />site investigations indicate that the extraction area is, or could be populated by some degree of variety of <br />animal species incuding but not limited to the following: <br />GAME SPECIES: <br />Mule Deer <br />Desert Cottentail Rabbit <br />NON-GAME SPECIES: <br />Coyote <br />House Mouse <br />White Tailed Prairie Dog <br />Misc. Lizards <br />Misc. Songbirds <br />ENDANGERED/CRITICAL SPECIES: <br />The potential for endangered fish exist in the Colorado River including: Pike Minnow, Humpback <br />Chub, and Razorback Sucker. <br />
