I will try to answer your questions in as much detadl as possible. The
responses to your questions aze as follows:
1. The dashed line delineates the Fish Creek Project lease area boundary.
2. The alluvial wells identified with a (o-FO-3, etc.) were installed during the
original baseline studies in 1979-80. These were single wells set at random
locations in the alluvial bottoms along the major drainages. All were cased with
4" PVC and capped. The alluvial monitoring wells were installed during the
1983-84 studies. These aze all found along Fish Creek and aze transects
mooing from one side of the bottom to the other. The number of holes in each
transect varies. All holes are cased with 2" PVC and capped.
3. All bore holes were cemented from the bottom to within two feet of the surface.
The sites were then regraded and revegetated using a mix approved by the
MLRD. 'Chese sites, as well as the monitoring bedrock well sites, were
inspected by Mike Savage during the fall of 1986 and the reclamation and
revegetation found to be in good condition. This infomration can probably be
found in one of his inspection reports.
Seismic holes were very shallow and only small explosive charges were used
resulting in minimal surface disturbance. No clearing of lines or road
construction work was required to access the study areas. No reclamation as a
result of the disturbance caused by the seismic work was required.
Alluvial wells were not abandoned. If required by the MLRD as part of the
temporary abandonment program, P&M will remove the plastic casings if
possible, plug the holes with bentonite and if necessary reclaim the sites.
