Typically the surfacc is clay <br />loam 5 inches thick. The subsoil is clay loam or silty clay loam 19 inches thick. The nndcrlying material is silt <br />loam to a depth of GO inches or more. Permeability is moderately stmv. Available water capacity is high. 8ffeclivc <br />rooting depth is GO inches or more. Runoff is slow csccpt in more sloping area. The hazard of water erosion is <br />moderate on areas with slopes over 3 percent. The hazard of wind erosion is high. Most of this unit is used for <br />cropland. <br />Gravelly Land <br />Gravelly land consists of dccp and escessivcly drained soils bordering major drainageways. Slopes range <br />from 3 to 20 percent. The surfacc is gravelly loam 12 inches thick. The nndcrlying material is gravelly toamy <br />sand grtding to sand and gravel to a depth of C>0 inches or morn. Permeability is modcratc. Available water <br />capacity is lmv. Effective rooting depth is GO inches or more.
