<br />3. IDENTIFICATION OF PERMANENT MANMADE STRUCTURES <br />There is a barbed wire fence 50 feet east oP the affected area <br />which is used Por livestock containment and Morgan County REA has <br />a service line approximately 50 Peet west of the affected area <br />which is not currently being used. There is an abandoned build- <br />ing south oP the proposed gravel pit which is owned by Green <br />Bros. There are no plans for it currently and it is possible <br />that it will be demolished sometime in the Future. There are a <br />series oP Pour trap houses and concrete walkways which were <br />installed by a previous owner Por sport shooting. They are in <br />poor repair and probably will be removed as the pit is developed. <br />Access to the proposed site is provided by a private road owned <br />and maintained by Green Bros.. Inc. <br />4. WATER RESOURCES <br />The water resources oP the property includes the aquifer aP the <br />South Platte River which is within approximately three feet oP <br />the surface over most oP the property and the Gill-Edwards drain- <br />age ditch which is described in MAP BOOR I page 31 in the Morgan <br />County Court House. The principal Feature of the property is a <br />gravel pit which was operated in the 1950s and 1960s by a previ <br />ous owner. The pit or the proposed mining area will have no <br />surface connection to the river or the drainage ditch and no <br />discharge will be made to the river by storm water or operations. <br />4 <br />
