The wildlife species rated by D.U.W. do not have <br />critical periods in their life cycle that will 6e affected by <br />this operation. <br />(2) Habitat management is rrot part of the rangeland <br />reclamation plan. D.U.W. comments do not suggest any unique <br />opportunities to enhance or benefit wildlife. TFiere is an <br />abundance of this type of habitat in the area. <br />6.4 Topsoiling <br />~(1) Topsail will be seyreyated for use in reclamation. If <br />topsoil stocF:piles remain for over 1 growing season, they <br />will. be seeded with 6.5#i/A F'LS of Manchar Smooth Promo to <br />prevent erosion and weed infestation, as well as preserving <br />the integrity of the topsoil. <br />(2) There is no woody vegetation on the affected area to be <br />put to a beneficial use ar to be removed. <br />(3) Topsoil stoc4;piles will be on the pi.t perimeters and <br />will not be disti.rrbed by the ongoing mining operation. As <br />stated in (1) above the topsail stockpiles will be seeded if <br />to be left for more than 1 year. <br />(4) Topsoil will oat be rehandled until it is replaced on <br />the regraded, disturbed areas in reclamation. <br />(5) The re ]. -o' -abili.~e. chiseling e <br />bacf;slope area before re lacement.
