Phone (719) 589-6868 <br />R~t"~I\IFR <br />DEC 0 ~ 1995 <br />November 27, 1995 <br />Division of Minerals ~ Ueoioyy <br />Mr. James Dillie <br />Environmental Protection Specialist <br />Division of Minerals & Geology <br />1313 Sherman St. Room 215 <br />Denver, CO. 80203-2273 <br />re: Butcher Pit M-95-060 <br />Dear Mr. Dillie; <br />In response to your letter dated October 5, 1995, please <br />accept the following responses. <br />1) I am in the process of having the map re-scaled to meet <br />your specifications. <br />2) The power line which you refer to is not within 200' of <br />the permit boundary and consequently is not shown on <br />Exhibit C. <br />3) The stratum immediately below the material we intend to <br />mine is a dark courser sand material, followed by a <br />layer of clay. <br />4) The woody vegetation will be cleared as we use the pit. <br />It will initially be stockpiled and we will contact the <br />DOW to see if their have a use for it, otherwise we <br />will see that it is properly disposed of. <br />5) Attached is a copy of the letter dated August 17, 1995 <br />from the NRCS. <br />6) Attached is a letter dated October 10, 1995 from John <br />Ungefug addressing this matter. <br />7) I am in the process of having this map revised to meet <br />your requirements. <br />8) Attached is a letter requesting DOW comments. To date, <br />no response has been received. <br />9) Attached is a copy of the letter dated August 17, 1995 <br />from the NRCS with the vegetation information. <br />
