Backfii[ing of Processing Waste <br />No processing waste exists for disposal at the Cazbon Junction Mine. <br />2.05.3(91 Under round Develoament Waste <br />The Cazbon Junction Mine will not produce any underground development waste. <br />2.05.3(101 Return of Coal Processin¢ Waste to Abandoned Workings <br />The Cazbon Junction Mine will not return any coal processing waste to underground <br />workings. <br />2.05.4 Reclamation Plan <br />No further coal mining will occur under this permit at the Carbon Junction Mine. At this <br />time the surface disturbance associated with the Carbon Junction Mine includes the North <br />and South Pits, the Permanently Reclaimed Spoils Area, the access road to and through <br />the mine site, the haul road to the North Pit, the sediment control system, including <br />diversion and conveyance ditches, the Carbon Junction Canyon diversion, Sediment <br />Ponds # 1 and # 2, the topsoil stockpiles, and the multiple use azea shared with the Ewing <br />Mesa aggregate operations. <br />This reclamation plan will address the reclamation of the remaining disturbances <br />associated with the Carbon Junction Mine. <br />2.05.4(2) Reclamation Plan Elements <br />The total disturbed azea remaining at the Carbon Junction Mine to be reclaimed under this <br />permit is 59 acres. The approved post-mining land uses for the mine are industrial and <br />commercial, recreation, and residential. Oakridge Energy, Inc., is planning a lazge <br />development on the entire mesa, of which the Cazbon Junction Mine constitutes only a <br />small portion. Goff Engineering of Durango has been retained by the landowner to design <br />the development and work with the appropriate agencies on securing all permits required. <br />The reclamation plan separately addresses the areas to be reclaimed, 1) the North Pit; 2) <br />the haul road to the North Pit; the Permanently Reclaimed Spoils Area; 3)Topsoil <br />Stockpiles # 2, 3, 4 ,7, 8; 4) reconstruction of Carbon Junction Canyon, 5) the South Pit, <br />and 6) Sediment Ponds 1 and 2. ACross-Section Map provides a compazison between <br />the existing and final topography.
