• consists of a 50-foot wide corridor for the length of the conveyor.
This corridor will remain as a maintenance access to the conveyor
after construction. The footings and towers supporting the conveyor
are spaced approximately 50 to 150 feet apart. The conveyor corridor
on the west side of the Roaring Fork River is divided into two
segments for discussion purposes. One segment is the portion on the
shallow slope across an irrigated meadow while the other portion of
the corridor is the steep slope of the bluff rising above the river
floodplain.
The portion of the conveyor corridor located on the shallow slope of
the irrigated meadow collects the portion of overland runoff below the
Kaiser-Siever Ditch into the two sumps shown on Drawing D-2-4. The
area of the corridor contributing runoff to the sumps is about 1-acre.
Generally, grading along the corridor will direct runoff from the
undisturbed area away from the corridor. Only the runoff directly
below the conveyor will enter into the sumps.
• The portion of the conveyor corridor located on the steep bluffs adja-
cent to the Truck Dump Site, will continue to have overland flow run
directly down the steep slopes in the same path as the predevelopment
condition. The runoff from this 0.4-acre area will enter the
Kaiser-Siever Ditch located above the existing road.
Truck Dump
Overland flow from the truck dump facility will be directed to the
northwest corner of the area into a sediment/runoff control pond. A
description of this pond will be included in the subsequent section
regarding sediment control.

4-133
