Colorado 81506
Re: Crystal River Rand Property
Final Land Use Preferences
Dear Mr. Stover:
In accordance with our recent conversations, there are a couple of unresolved issues
regarding Crystal River Ranch property as it relates to Minrec's Division of Minerals and
Geology Mining Permit for its North Thompson Creek Mines (DMG Permit C-81-025).
Both issues relate to the final disposition of roads existing on our property.
The first is a two track ranch access road which is aligned along the reclaimed conveyor
corridor. This road crosses through an irrigated pasture and is bordered by the Roaring
Fork River to the north and County Road 109 to the south. We would like this road to
remain in place as is.
The second is a jeep road that traverses Stoney Ridge. This road, which has numerous
switchbacks, branches off of County Road 108 between the reclaimed No. 1 and No. 3
Mines. The road climbs the north facing slope of Stoney Ridge and extends about
halfway down the south facing slope. The alignment of this road is shown on the
Stoney Ridge Quadrangle Map. As a general guidleline, we would like this road to
remain in place as is. However, we want the road closed and posted. We view this
road as an enhancement to the property and beneficial to wildlife.
Sincerely,
Sue Anschutz-Rodgers
General Partner
•
4-98d 10/99
