~~ i ~
EXHIBIT C MINING PLAN
PECK PIT
This is an application for extraction of gravel and
stockpiling only.
Mining will begin upon obtaining the Mined Land
Reclamation Permit and continue for ten years.
Mining will take place during low water flows on
the Uncompahgre River. This usually occurs from
August 15th to May 15th but varies from year to
year depending on snowpack and summer thunderstorm
activity. A small stockpile will be maintained
so gravel can be obtained during the high water
season. See Exhibit E-1 Mining Plan Map for the
location of the stockpile.
Gravel thickness above the low water river elevation
on this bar is from 1 to 4 feet. Mining will take
place from the low water river elevation up and
only east of the river.
No topsoil exists on this site. Vegetation on the
permit area consists of a few small cottonwoods.
These trees will be left. There is no overburden
or waste rock associated with this operation.
Two existing access roads approximately 20 feet in
width will be maintained during this operation
and will be left when mining operations and reclamation
are completed. No buildings or other man made
structures are present on this site. A sewage lagoon
