GRAND VALLY COAL CO. <br />• Permit No. 13GA257-2 <br />Initial Approval (Amended) <br />Page 3 <br />PARTICULATE EMISSIONS CONTROL PLAN <br />THE FOLLOWING PARTICULATE EMISSIONS CONTROL MEASURES SHALL BE USED FOR <br />ENFORCEMENT PURPOSES ON THE SOURCES COVERED BY THIS PERMIT, AS REQUIRED BY THE <br />AIR QUALITY CONTROL COMMISSION REGULATION N0.1. THIS SOURCE IS SUBJECT TO THE <br />FOLLOWING EMISSION GUIDELINES: <br />a. Mining Activities -Visible emissions not to exceed 20°k, no off-property transport of visible <br />emissions. <br />b. Haul Roads - No off-property transport of visible emissions shall apply to on-site haul roads, <br />the nuisance guidelines shall apply to off-site haul roads. <br />c. Haul Trucks - No off-property transport of visible emissions except that when operating off the <br />property of the owner or operator, the applicable guidelines shall be no off-vehicle transport <br />of visible emissions. <br />• Control Measures <br />1. The haul road shall be paved and the paving maintained to prevent fugitive particulate. Dirt <br />or other material deposited on this paved road shall be removed in a timely manner to prevent <br />fugitive particulate emissions. <br />2. Dirt or other material deposited on State Highway 139 shall be removed in a timely manner. <br />3. Coal storage shall not exceed 4,000 tons at any given time. <br />4. Crushing and screening shall be controlled by water sprays las necessary) and enclosures to <br />minimize particulate emissions. <br />5. Conveyors shal be covered but not necessarily air tight.
