•
~ III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
.~cE~~~°
Mai ~ ~ Z~~~o~
March 8, 2000
Division of Minerals and Geology
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
Attention: The Mined Land Reclamation Board,
I am writing this letter to protest the proposed gravel pit
being dug on land that is crest of my property, by Colorado
Gravel Products Inc. This kind of happening comes back to
haunt Future generations and they ask the question "Why was
this allowed to happen?" So I wish to go on public record
that I do not want this gravel pit to be put in existance.
My objections ar~many. But as your representative in the
Durango office informed me your division is not concerned
with dust, noise, of defacement of land in an agricultural
setting. The main two objections that probably are not
worthwhile objections to the division either, are the lowering
of my property value and the not pleasant idea of some of
my family living someday on this land next to a gravel pit.
That is why I wish to express my objections for public
record now and for future generations against this gravel pit.
Frances McCormick
51267 County Rd.
