The
location will be just to the north of the screen and crusher
in the area of the "old crushed stockpile" as shown on Exhibit
C-3.
The spoil material will be placed in such a manner as to
extend the existing lowest bench below the .present cedar slope
area, to the west. The spoil material will be shaped into an
orderly bench or embankment parallel to the east boundary of
the stockpile work area.
We estimate the embankment will be about 15' high. Past
experience by the operators (the owners of C & C Sand Company)
in this quarry in the late 1960's, did not produce the large
percentage of waste material (about 25%) mentioned in recent
telephone conversations. Never-the-less, we respect the pos-
sibility and believe the site lends itself to orderly disposal
in keeping with the approved Reclamation Plan.
This disposal amendment has been fully discussed with the
operator and should become a part of the Reclamation Plan.
Si erely,
oD" W al d A 5- Kap`p~~`
Enclosure: Letter from the Colorado Division of Wildlife,
Exhibit D-1.
cc: Fremont County Planning Office
- -- `/,2(~S Ohl;p:
/ Q(t.ja GQo a ~H~c/t
'~ `J~ ~,,3~ ~ re vi ~w e r 5 z`e
sc e i f ~ f$ t" n,o~y~
eur -(oolt..v~~l Kvads,
(Td~d~Y ~~
r4:.k ro.~
