• EXHIBIT B
Site Description
1. Based on information obtained from Mr. Pete Ward, A.S.C.S.
Office in Trinidad, Colorado, the soil characteristics and
vegetation of the general area of the effected land are
predominantly Midway-Ildefonso-Kim Complex soils. More
specifically on the effected land the soil type is Ildefonso.
Typically the surface is gravelly loam 6 inches tick. The subsoil
is very gravelly loam 14 inches thick. The substratum to a depth
of 60 inches or more is extremely gravelly, sandy loam or loamy
sand. Permeability is moderately rapid. Available water capacity
is low. Runoff is medium and care should be taken to avoid
erosion. The soil is a good source for sand and gravel. (See
Attachment 1)
2. There are no permanent manmade structures within 200 feet of
the effected land.
3. The area is a dry sand and gravel deposit. There is no surface
water on the property. Mining operations will not expose any
ground water. Storm water run off will be retained on-site.
4. The area has been subdivided and is not .considered significant
to wildlife populations. Therefore, no adverse impacts are
anticipated on important wildlife habitats or wildlife species.
•
•
