1
1
1
1
t
EXHIPIT D
MINING FLAN
Mining will include two distinct areas. The eastern most
portion of the affected area is a previously disturbed placer
mine. This area will be removed and reclaimed to a better
condition than currently e;:ists, The westerly area is virgin
territory and will be reclaimed in accordance with the
reclamation plan, e:;hi6it E.
The original area mined was placered by a floating dredge.
The results indicate a mining operation similar to open pit
mining. The proposed mining will also be the open pit type
operation.
I
Earthmoving will be the major operation during mining.
Material from the first trench will be hauled by trucF:: to the
processing site for crushing and/or stockpiling. Topsoil from II
trench 1 will be stoc4::piled in the area of Fhase II as shown
tisheet ~ of 4). These materials will be used in reclamation of ~~`
`~ ;
Fhase III trenches. The trenches will be back:filled from the L
abandone ~-i-ng-piles left from the original mining operations. ~ (,
This will allow remining of the original placer site. The second ~~~I1
pass will be similar to the first. The third pass will leapfrog
to the east and again be similar to the first by backfilling with
tailaings from the original mine site.
There will be no new water impoundments constructed as a
part of 'the m:ini.r~g operation=_.
Mining passes will be 1.' acres each. As mining progresses
4
