On September 10, 1998, I visited the site of the Fryear Gravel Pit in Yuma County. The site lies in
cultivated farmland, and has already been mined for gravel at some time in the past. The proposed
mining operations should have little or no impact to local wildlife populations and wildlife habitat.
The project site map (exhibit E) show a wildlife habitat planting directly north and east of the area to be
mined. I assume the mining operation will not affect those improvements.
