Notes:
1. The owner /operator shall implement weed control practices, as required,
to remove noxious weed species listed by the State of Colorado, for areas
within the affected land area.
2. Reclamation work shall be completed in two phases. Phase I area
consists of slope and buffer areas for Mining Blocks 1 through 4. Phase
II area includes final staging areas, and Mining Block 5 and 6 areas.
3. Phase I reclamation work shall be completed with prior to overburden
removal for Block 6.
4. All sand and gravel processing equipment and support structures, shall
be removed prior to Phase II mining work. All fencing around the property
boundary, and 4' tall orange posts along the west property line, shall
remain.
5. The top two to six inches of existing soils, within the affected land
area, shall be stripped and stockpiled in the buffer areas adjacent to the
mining blocks, PRIOR to mining operations. This topsoil will be used for
Phase I and II site reclamation.
6. All affected land area grades shall be graded to provide positive
drainage towards the pond. Backfill pond slopes areas at a 3VAH(max)
slope, using overburden removed from mining blocks.
7. Spread topsoil materials, which have been stockpiled in the buffer areas,
to provide a minimum of 3" of topsoil on all affect land areas above the
pond water surface elevation.
8. Seeding shall be performed in early April or early August, if possible.
9. Seed mix for site reclamation shall consist of the following mix. If seed
is broadcast, PLS application rat0s listed below shall be doubled and seed
shall be incorporated into soil with harrow or morman creaser:
SPECIES PLS RATE /ACRE % OF MIX
Jose Tall Wheatgrass 25 70
Alkali Socaton 1 10
Western Wheatgrass 14 10
Galleta 13 10
10. After seeding, site shall be fertilized at a minimum rate of 200
Ibs /acre with 21 -0 -0 and 0 -45 -0, or as otherwise determined by soil
tests performed by the Soil Conservation Service.
