Sediment control <br />devices will be used and may include (but arc not limited tn) slit fence, straw bales nr waulcs. <br />(35) All drilling fluids, mud, and cuttings must be contained on the project site in mud pits or portable <br />containers. The pit must not be used fur disposal of garbage, trash, or other rufose. Unattended pits will be feared <br />to keep out tivesWCk and wildlife. <br />(36) Mud pits must be allowed kv dry or pumped before they arc backfilled and reclaimed. ll' pumped, <br />fluids will be disposed off Forest at a Colorado State approved site. They must be endosrd by a 4-strand bathed <br />wire fence while they ttre left to dry. <br />(37) ReclamaUVn efforts will be diligently pursued tv insure [hat a minimum of ground cover is established <br />on all disturbed areas; a minimum 80ryo of the surrounding undisturbed areas, <br />(38) All drip pad sites will be reclaimed. Reclamation of pad sites will involve regrading to approximate <br />original contouq reestablishing drainage, snit replacement, and reseeding the disturbed areas. Rcehuuatiou activities <br />will commence immnediately after drilling activities arc complete unless a variation is granted in writing by dtc <br />Paonia District Ranger. <br />{39) Ncw temporary roads will be decommissioned by obliteration voce nv longer needed for access. <br />Demmmissivtdng by obliteration will include returning the land surface to approximate original contour, replacing <br />topsoil, and seeding with the approved scat mix. All drainage structorca shall be maintained and appnrved prior to <br />closure of rite route. All disturbed areas shalt be seeded with the approved seed mixnue immediately W prevent <br />noxious weed infestation. The point of access where applicable, will be b]ocketl as directed by the ftS so as to <br />prevent motorized use of the obliterated road. To discourafie access and use of reclaimed areas, natural barriers and <br />signs will be placed near the point whore project roods that have been obliterated or converted to ATV trails intersect <br />rands that arc open b public access. The FS will identify barrier locations rmd techniques. <br />(40) Licensee and or their conuacWrs mus[ have the necessary materials an hand and lmmcdiatrly available <br />Iv contain any spill 0f fuels, oil, and other contaminants, Any spills must be reported to the I+S immediateiy. <br />Immediate containment and cleanup will be required consistent will) the licensee's Spill Prevention, Control, and <br />Cvuntermcasures (SPCC) plan.
