The slope length is described es the typical slope length for the <br />subwatershed and the distance from the point of origin of overland flow until the point <br />that the slope decreases such that significant deposition occurs or until the flow enters <br />a defined channel. The slope length for Pond 006 was determined to be 360 to 400 feet. <br />Average Slone. The average slope is the typical or representative slope (in percent) for <br />overland flow for the watershed. Thie was determined to be 18 to 20 percent. <br />The C and P Factors. The C factor, the cover end management factor, is the ratio of soil <br />loss from an area with specified cover end management to that from an identical area in <br />tilled continuous fellow. <br />The P factor, the support practice factor, is the ratio of soil loss with a support <br />practice Like contouring, strip cropping, or terracing to that with straight-row farming <br />up and down the slope. • <br />14 <br />
