"Excess Suitable Materials" are soil materials specified below as <br />:~ suitable for use in subgrades, fill, or backfill and in excess or <br />requirements for such purposes. <br />B. Scope of Work: <br />Construct a section of haul road to the Lines and grades shown on <br />the drawings, subject [o the tolerances specified and compacted <br />as specified. The work shall also include, but shall no[ be <br />limited to: <br />(1) Construction of culverts, <br />(2) Temporary construction of access roads, etc., and <br />(3) ?ermanent ditches and swales. <br />E1.62 -Soil Materials <br />A. Suitable 14a[erials: <br />''~ Suitability of materials for providing subgrades and fi1.1 will be <br />determined by the OWNER. <br />B. Unsuitable ;iaterials: <br />Do no[ use any of the following materials for construction of <br />subgrades, or fills, unless specifically authorized: <br />Material specifically designated as unsuitable by the OWNER. <br />Rock and/or concrete pieces larger than two inches major dimen- <br />sions when used in [he top six inches of fill. <br />Materials that are Erozen, debris or unacceptable portions of <br />organic materials, or materials containing more moisture than <br />will permit specified degree of compaction as determined by the <br />OWNER. <br />S-4 <br />
