<br />.' . <br />In addition, the water that historically imgated this pasture land shall be augmented into <br />the gravel pits to offset ground water evaporation. The amount of augmentation water <br />required shall be 6.25 to 9.14 acre-ft of Fish Ditch and/or Rio Grande Canal water per <br />acre of exposed ground water area. The actual value within this range is dependent on <br />assumptions regarding surface water evaporation and historic ditch water application <br />efficiency that must be worked out with the Colorado Division of Water Resources. <br />Once the exposed pit area totals ] 00 acres this augmentation amount shall total 625 to <br />414 acre-ftlyr of surface water. <br />During the reclamation phase, no water shall be required. The exposed pits shall be left <br />as lakes for recreation. Ground water evaporation from the exposed surface area of the <br />lakes shall continue to be augmented in a manner consistent with the requirements of the <br />Colorado Division of Water Resources. The disturbed areas shall be revegetated with <br />native grass species described in Section E of this report. These species will not require <br />any pit water to establish or maintain. <br />The applicant is in the process of and shall obtain all pertinent NPDES permits as <br />required by the Water Quality Control Division of the Colorado Department of Health. <br />
