Our pti:nary objective is to characterize the surface hydrology <br />of regraded spoils for coal regions and fields. Therefore, we should <br />like to sample as many mined areas as possible throughout Colorado. <br />Our field measurements will consist of infiltroaeter (water intake) <br />rates and collection of 2-1/2 inch core samples from several le±•els <br />near the surface, tde anticipate sampling cai11 take one or two days <br />maxlmu9 at each site. <br />The purpose of this letter is to request .rout cooperation and <br />participation in this stud~r. ;dull you please advise me of a person <br />in your organization whom I can contact for assistance in site selection <br />and scheduling a visit.
