Exploration Holes
Size of the drill holes shall be either 6 7/8 inch generating
a 3-inch core or a 3.0 inch hole generating a 1 7/8 inch core.
The surface casing shall be 7 5/8 O.D steel casing cemented
into place. The core to be retrieved shall be from a designated
coring point through the Carbonera Coal Seam until the
designated (approximately 10-feet) stop point is reached.
The rock shall then be drilled between the Carbonera and Cameo
Coal Seams. From a designated coring point, the Cameo Coal
Seam shall be cored until the designated stop point is reached.
Electrical logging of the holes shall include gamma, resistivity,
• and density.
The approximate total depths and ground elevations of the
exploration holes are as follows:
APPROXIMATE
HOLE N0. APPROXIMATE DEPTH GROUND ELEVATION

PCC-O1 185 ft. 5,490
PCC-02 265 ft. 5,700
PCC-03 505 ft. 5,900
PCC-04 723 ft. 6,050
PCC-OS 670 ft. 5,950
PCC-06 1,525 ft. 6,930
PCC-07 1,587 ft. 7,040
PCC-08 1,532 ft. 6,885
Drilling media used in the exploration holes shall be drilling
foam, water and air or any combination thereof. Powderhorn
Coal Company shall use plastic lined pits for sediment
control and recirculation of water. Straw bales shall be
used as sediment traps where needed on the drill sites and
