Renner, Hydrologist
215 centennial Building
1313 Sherman Street
Denver, CO 80203-2273
In Re: MIDWAY SAND AND GRAVEL. INC.
Dear Mr. Renner:
This letter is in follow up to the above captioned matters with
specific reference to the Permit Application pending by my client
above referenced. Previously, you contacted me in reference to
correspondence received from the United States Department of the
Interior, Bureau of Land Management dated June 23, 1988, which
correspondence indicated that the government had an interest in
tlTe mineral estate as concerns a portion of the property subject
to the Permit Application. My client, Mr. Ricl: Vette, visited
with Mr. Daniel Grenard, acting Area Manager, with the BurealE of
[.and Management of Canon City, Colorado, in response to that
writing. Mr. Grenard advises that as the portion of the land in
whicl! the government has an interest is not now being mined nor
are there any immediate plans to mine that area, that his office
would not req!lire a mineral material contract at this time. IIe
requests that you contact him directly in order that he might
verbally appraise you of these matters and thereby remove any
restriction imposed by his earlier writing.
By this writing then, I would request that you contact Mr.
Grenard directly so as to satisfy your earlier condition that we
make appropriate arrangements with the Bureau of Land Management.
With that phone call, and absent any further advice by yoll, i
Lhen presume that that condition will have been satisfied and
tlTat you would proceed with the Permit Application, on schedule.
