Long <br />, Division Director <br />RE: Nix Sand and Gravel Mine; DMG File # M-2001-046; Informal Conference Request <br />Dear Ms. Pazker: <br />The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology is reviewing Owens Brothers Concrete Company's 112 <br />construction materials application to mine sand and gravel at their proposed Nix Sand and Gravel Mine. <br />The Division has received letters objecting to the approval of this application. Therefore, in accordance <br />with Rule 1.4.6 and 1.7 (see attached) of the Construction Materials Rules and Regulations of the Mined <br />Land Reclamation Board, an informal conference has been scheduled for 1:00 P.M. on July 31, 2001 at <br />the Platteville Town Hall. This office is located at 400 Grand Avenue in Platteville, Colorado. <br />At the informal conference, persons objecting to approval of the application may present their grounds for <br />objecting, and the applicant and anyone else supporting approval of this application will have time to <br />present information supporting the issuance of a permit. Anyone may participate in the Informal <br />Conference by submitting written comments or by appeazing in person. Please be advised that any <br />additional issues raised orally by any parry at the Informal Conference, which were not previously <br />submitted in writing, shall be submitted in writing to the Division by such party within five (5) working <br />days after the informal conference. <br />During the Informal Conference the Division will also report on the status of the permit review and <br />discuss the remainder of the review and hearing process.
