~ ~ ~'' ~
7. Land Uses/Access ~
The county has the county roads mentioned. Some road realignment
is proposed for this area. No impact will occur to any land use.
8. Climate
The area receives moisture mainly in the spring and late summer.
This would be the ideal to do any reseeding efforts.
D. Cumulative Impacts
This site has been previously used as a gravel pit. No cumulative
impacts are expected assuming the site is reclaimed when the project ie
finished.
E. Short-Term/Long-Term Impacts
1. Proposed Action
This action would be very similar to Alternative A except [hat it
would impact the area over a longer time period. There may not be sufficient
material to support a long time gravel pit.
2. Alternative A - Short-Term Pit
This alternative should result in a gravel pit that ie reclaimed
in approximately three years. This is a relatively short-term impact.
F. Irreversible/Irretrievable Impacts
None are expected.
G. Unavoidable Adverse Impacts
A visual impact will be present along the county road for 10 years or
more. This visual impact will be present for a shorter time period under
Alternative A. Some duet and minor noise and increased truck traffic will.be
present some times of the year.
IV. CONSULTATION AND COORDINATION
Outside BLM
Colorado Mined Land Reclamation -
Fremont County - Marshall 8uttler
Soil Conservation Service - Rick Romano
Inside BLM
Monica Bargielski - Archaeologist
Mike Gaylord - Environmental Scientist
Erik Brekke - Wildlife Biologist ,
Mark Pyle - Realty Specialist
Ken Smith - Visual Resource Specialist
