PUBL/C NOTICE COtYlMENTS
The permittee submitted comments:
• !. They requested a change in tl[e legal contact person and a change in the mailing address jot the facility contact.
These changes are being made.
2. The permittee requested elaboration on the monitoring history described in section Vl.B.I. regarding oil and grease
This is being added.
3. The pernrittee stated that access jot the new sires (ourfalls 012-017) is difficult. They are installing remote
monitoring equipment at these outfalls to ease monitoring jot flow and pN. They requested that the oi[ and grease
frequency be reduced to monthly. As stated earlier in this rationale, na oil/grease sheen has ever been observed nt
any of their outfn(!s that receive only surface runoff Additionally, they will install oil booms at these outfa(ls for
added security. On this basis, the monitoring fregttenry for oil and grease at these o«tjnl(s will be monthly.
4. The permittee asked that the previous winter rnonimring exemption be extended nvo months. As modified by this
amendment, the exemption is not limited by months; i[ is based on weather and access conditions. This will address
the permittee's concerns as stated in the draft amendment.
5. The permittee noted that the amendment included requirements for outfall 007 in Pan 1. A. 4. of the permit. This
outfall was deleted some rime ago (prior to the most recent permit renewal) but was inadvertently left in the permit.
!t will be removed now. Also, the pernit[ee noted that in nvo places, the permit refers to copies of WET-related
information being submitted to EPA as attachments to the discharge monitoring reports (DMRs). Since DMRs are
no longer required to be submitted to EPA, these references will 6e deleted.
6. The pernrit previously waived WET testing for otttjalls 004 and 008 for the first calendar quarters. This waiver is
being curried over via this amendment.
No odrer parry submitted convnents. 71re amendment will be modified as stated in the above paragraphs.
Jon C.
