APPENDIX 6-5 <br />IContinuedl <br />' Sample type includes: 0 overburden Imaterial above and parting between Wadge coal <br />seaml; U =underburden Imaterial below Wadge coal seaml. <br />' The following abbreviations apply to geologic strata: SH = shale, SS = sandstone, SI = <br />siltstone, MD = mudstone, CO = coal, CL = clay, S = sand, and CARE _ <br />carbonaceous. <br />' The percentage of unsuitable strata is listed for the overburden section. No percentage <br />figure is included for the underburden since an incomplete section was sampled. <br />Mitigative measures include: AV =avoidance; AM =amelioration; SS =suspect samples; <br />and BDB =blend, dilute, and/or bury. <br />s Units are tons of calcium carbonate per 100 tons of material. <br />c Abbreviations include LEN = Lennox coal seam; SC = Sage Creek coal seam; NC = not <br />correlated coal seam, could be a lower Lennox split. <br /> <br />6-5-7 Revised 9/98 <br />
