Exhibit "D" (1) This application includes the following information in accordance with the regulations: RULE 3. (a) When and what depth of overburden will be replaced in relation to extraction. The soil types present have little to no topsoil and some overburden with the surface being LOAM. 3"-6" of the top layer will be saved as plant gro~~th media to be replaced in reclamation. (b) Maximum gradient of reclaimed slopes (horizontal :vertical) The maximum gradient on reclaimed backslopes will be 3H:1 V of flatter to accommodate the rangeland use proposed by the Lessor. (c) Measures that will be taken to revegetate the site: (i) The gro~rrth media will be replaced at a depth of 3" to 6" and the backslopes finished at 3H:1 V. The pit will be daylight to the South side closest to the See maps. (ii) Time of seeding, seedbed preparation, type, application rate and soil incorporation, method of fertilization application. Fall seeding is preferred and proposed if at all possible. Reshaping will be done using the saved topsoil at a depth of 3" to 6" all the slopes shall be at no greater than 3H:1 V. The topsoil will be spread and smoothed but not hard packed. Seed evill be broadcast. Seeding rates as follows: per NRCS Western Wheatgrass- Arriba 32 pls @ ]00%, %ofmix 50% 16 pIs/ac 10 acres = 1601bs req'd. Blue Grama 6 pls @ 100%, %ofmix 20% 1.2 pls/ac 10 acres= 12 Ibs req'd. Galleta 8 pIs @ 100%, %ofmix 20% 1.6 pls/ac 10 acres = 161bs req'd. Sand Dropseed 1 pIs@ 100%, %ofmix 5% 0.1 pls/ac 10 acres= 1 Ibs req'd. Winter Fat 1 pIs@ 100°ro, %ofmix 5% 0..1 pIs/ac 10 acres = 1 Ibs req'd. 40# available N & P is the recommended and vv'ill be applied with a commercial spreader. Certified noxious weed free straw or grass hay will be applied at the rate of 4,000#/fl. (iii) State the species to be planted and applicable quantities: See above for grass seed mixture. No forbs, shrubs,or trees will be planted.
