Louisiana Avenue
Denver, Colorado 80222
Re: Nor ke Pit - File no. M-85-040
.i+,~i
Dear ~.~.~:,~:
On May 23, 1985, the Mined Land Reclamation Board approved your 112 application
for the Nordyke Pit with the following stipulation: "The Division of Highways
will submit to the Mined Land Reclamation Division for staff approval a
detailed description of the switch-back road that will traverse the bluff
between the mining area and the stream crossing (and its reclamation). This
description will be submitted prior to construction of the road and wilt be
produced after consultation with local personnel of the U.S. Bureau of Land
Management." Upon submittal of a signed performance warranty and a written
reply to my adequacy letter of April 22, 1985 (to which I received a verbal,
telephone reply prior to the Board meeting), the 112 permit for this mining
operation will be issued to the Division of Highways.
Enclosed please find a copy of the analysis of the Nordyke Pit application
from the U.S. Bureau of Land Management. This analysis basically reiterates
the need for the stipulation to the permit as given above.
As always, thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Sincerely,
~~
Mark S.
