EXHIBIT D
MINING PLAN AND TIMETABLE
LOCATTON
The property is located in Grand County approximately 2.5
miles southwest of Granby, Colorado. It will be a single stage
mining operation located on 94.14 ac. t north of Eightmile Creek
and 2.00 miles west of U.S. Highway 40 on Cottonwood Pass Road (GCR
55) . Please refer to EXHIBIT B -INDEX MAP for the property configura-
tion and the relationships to surrounding geological features. The
area to be mined is a north trending ridge line of igneous rock
lying between 8290 and 8790 feet sea level datum. It lies in a
isolated area surrounded by ranch land and limited rural ranchetts,
the closest being more that three-fourths of a mile from the mine
area.
CURRENT CONDITIONS
County Road 55 runs along the south side of the site and the
Eightmile Creek is approximately 600 feet south of the site and 100
feet lower that the lowest point on the mine site. The site has
been used as mountain pasture by the owners. The predominate
vegetation is a grassy hillside with brush scattered throughout.
in isolated areas there are ponderosa pine and rock outcrops on the
upper reaches of the site.
The PRE-MINING MAP - EXHIBIT C Shows how the area looks dt this
time, the site is fairly lush with a moderate sage brush cover. It
slopes from south to north climbing nearly 580 feet from the road
to the top of the permit area. It contains two ridges that run
north across the site with a saddle between them. In the northeast
part of the site is a steep sided draw that carries water from
areas up gradient of the permit area. This draw will not be dis-
turbed by mining. A road in the northwest quadrant provides ac-
cesses to the upper reaches of the permit area and beyond. The
draw and road in this area will not be disturbed either. This
deposit is a hard igneous rock that will be have to be drilled and
blasted to be mined.
MAP EXHIBIT C shows the outline of the mining area, the touching
landowners, easements and ROWS, the 200 foot ownership, current
topography, and hydrologic features of the property. The land is
pzesently used as rangeland by the landowners but due to its steep-
ness grazing is limited. Surrounding property uses include irri-
gated agriculture, dryland pasture, forested areas and rural
ranchetts (closest is house 4000+ feet northeast of mine).
Access to the site will be built from the county road in the
southwest part of the site. This access road may change as mining
3
