One of the
Adequacy Issues mentioned by Environmental Protection Specialist Russ Means in the
Preliminary Adequacy Review of October 23, 2001 was the need for a Technical
Revision to the approved plan for the adjoining Hall Pit (M-1983-142).
A Technical Revision has been prepared for the Hall Pit requesting changes of use to
allow the Hall Pit area to be used as a support area for the BLM Pit #1 operation. The text
and map has been prepared for this Technical Revision.
Christmas holiday vacation schedules have interfered with United Companies' standard
procedure to print checks. The $188.00 check for the Technical Revision fee will be
available next week, December 27, 2001, which doesn't leave time to consider the
Technical Revision and permit application.
United Companies requests that the decision date for the BLM Pi[ #1 pernlit be changed
from January 2, 2002 to January 11, 2002. This should allow us plenty of time to get the
complete Technical Revision to tl)e CDMG for consideration.
Thank you.
Sincere) ,
~~~ ~a~~
Richard Johnson
Resource Manager
