Vegetation - We are contacting the local soil conservation office to determine if there are any exceptions to their general soils and range grass maps that we included in our application. If so, we will in- clude their specific recommendations in our plan. 3. Soils - a. The Wilson and Sokol Pits are located in the Truckton-Blake- land-Bresser association zones. b. The Dellacroce pit is situated on a finger outwork mesa capped with decomposed granit gravel. The soil cap more closely resembles the soils found immediately to the south and east which are classified as Truckton-Blakeland-Bresser. We will ask the soil conservation service for their advice on the specific seed plan recommended for this particular location as it is situated close to 3 soil zones. Exhibit E Seeding-Plan-L.- It is our intent to work closely-with-the soil -conservation district on the reclamation of each individual pit at the time of recla- mation. We filed the only seeding plan we had on file as it is generally representative of the recommendations of the soil conservation service. We will make your suggestions known to the soil conservation service. Exhibit F We have attached an affidavit from Mrs. Dellacroce that the gravel deposit has been worked since before zoning was applied to that section of El Paso County and, therefore, is a permitted land use. 2
