Such is consistent
with the present use of the surrounding area and the present
value of the land for that use in that area is in the range of
$50.00 to $100.00 per acre.
After the mining has been completed reclamation will
be commenced. The first step will be grading.
Grading shall be accomplished by back filling first
any materials not usable, then concaving the land and then by
back filling and spreading the top soil previously removed and
stockpiled. The elope shall be maintained at a ratio not steeper
than three to one. All grading shall be done in a manner to
avoid slippage and erosion. No toxic or acid forming materials
are present and no need for concern for such materials exists.
No drill or auger holes exist and hence none need to be plugged.
After grading, the surface will be tilled with a disk.
then fertilizer will be applied consistent with the recommenda-
tion of the Soil Conservation Service. A seed bed will be pre-
pared before seeding with a cultipacker or similar equipment.
Then the seed will be drilled to a depth of 1/2 to 1 inch. The
seed will be drilled across the elope to avoid erosion. Seed-
ing will take place in the fall of the year so that germination
will occur the following spring.
The seed used will be consistent with the recommenda-
tiona of the Soil Conservation Service for range mixture, ae-
suming availability at a zaa~onabla cost. The area will be
protected from livaatock and.vahiclati until the graeeae era well
aatabli~had, ~~
