This riprap design is conservative due to the following
reasons:
a. Peak discharge of 48.74 cfs will be passed through both
the principal spillway and the emergency spillway.
b. Maximum slope of 33$ only occurs on backside of dam and
not throughout the entire length of the spillway.
c. Actual bottom width to be constructed will be 20 feet.
~#
2. Riprap not required for pond inlet due to non-erosive water
velocity.
3. All riprap and underlying filter rock will consist of angular,
broken rock.
4. Minimum riprap thickness will be 18.75 inches.
5. Underlying filter rock thickness will be a minimum of 9.4
inches of 5 inch or smaller rock.
6. Actual as-Built riprap parameters may exceed this minimum
design.
