1
~'
' EXHIBIT H
' Wildlife
Wildlife disturbance in the proposed permit area is expected to be
' minimal. The construction of Interstate I-25 and the initial operation
' of a now-abandoned gravel pit have preceeded the proposed operation.
' The existing habitat is hospitable to a wide variety of rodents
which comprise most of the wildlife community. Also predominant are
' certain varieties of lagomorphs, particularly the white tailed and
black tailed jackrabbits. The pronghorn antelope is known to graze in
' nearby environs, as are other grazing range species.
' There has been no documentation of endangered species in the area.
Although possible, it is unlikely and unanticipated that the proposed
' operation will disturb any threatened wildlife.
The Colorado Soil Conservation Society has provided the attached
range wildlife description.

1

1
