i
' EXHIBIT E
' Reclamation Plan
The disturbed area will be contoured to break abrupt contour changes
and provide compatibility with surrounds.
' There are 0 to 8 inches of topsoil overlying the aggregate to be mined. A
' concerted effort will be made to stockpile what is available. Topsoil will
be drawn almost exclusively from Ascalon soil profiles, and stockpiled onto
t areas where erosional hazards are least likely. Stockpile sites are indicated
' on the mining plan map, Exhibit C-2.
Areas to be reclaimed will be seeded in the fall, preferably after mid-
' October. The attached SCS correspondence indicates species and seeding rates
' anticipated for reclamation. The method of seed application will be broadcasting
and harrowing, or drilling. The seeding application will be doubled for broad-
' casting. Should data become available indicating edaphic conditions more
appropriate for other species of native grasses, the revegetation inventory
' of seed types and ratios may be modified.
' Virtually no trees or shrubs exist on the site and no planting of trees
or shrubs iS planned. No water is available for irrigation and no fertilization
or mulching of the soil is anticipated.
