RE: Monument View Gravel Pit, File No. M-2000-032, Preliminary Adequacy Review
Dear Mr. Austin:
The Division has completed review of M. A. Concrete Construction's application fora 1 12
Construction Materials Permit for the Monument View Gravel Pit. The Division cannot approve
the application until the comments listed below have been adequately addressed. Please respond
to these comments as soon as possible, or at least by May 24, 2000, so the decision due date set
for May 31, 2000 can be met. If you cannot adequately respond by May 24, 2000, please
submit a written request for an extension of the decision due date. Please be aware, if your
adequacy review response, or a written request for extension of the decision due date is not
received, by the Division, by May 24, 2000, this application may be denied.
ADEQUACY REVIEW COMMENTS
EXHIBIT C -Pre-mining and Mining Plan Maos
1 . The Exhibit C maps do not appear to show all adjoining surface owners of record as required
by Rule 6.4.3 (a). Please revise these maps accordingly.
2. Several permanent man-made structures, located within 200 feet of the proposed permit
boundary, are not included on the Exhibit C Maps. Also, some of the structures shown on
these maps do not have the owner indicated as required. Please include all structures, located
on or within 200 feet of the proposed permit boundary, on the permit maps. Include the name
of their respective owners, and ensure they are adequately addressed in Exhibit S. This does
include any of the trailer houses on the southeast corner of the site that meet the description
of a permanent man-made structure as defined in Rule 1 .1 (48).
3. If, in the course of identifying all permanent man-made structures on or within 200 feet of the
proposed permit boundary, and identifying all adjacent landowners, any new owners are
identified that have not been sent the public notice of this application as required by rule
1.6.2, please send the required notice to these owners and provide this proof of notice. The
Division will allow these owners twenty days, from the date they receive the notice, to
provide comment on this application.
