Tuber set is early. Tuber size
needs ro be monitored because of
rapid bulking and the potential for
oversized tuber development. Skin
set is achieved in 18-26 days and
is influenced by excess N.
Reseazch indicates brighter color
can be achieved and maintained in
storage if lower rates of N are
used.
By tailoring management
practices to fit each cultivar's
growth habit and needs, growers
can have a more successful
experience when growing a new
cultivar, or even one that has been
a part of their operation for many
years.
