i ~ E~~~E~ <br />DATE JAN 191 <br />The area to be reclaimed is just South of County Road 64, and is <br />divided into two parts by the Cache La Poudre River. The area proposed <br />to he dredge is within two miles of Greeley, and can be preserved in a ~. <br />~tatural state for the enjoyment of the people of the area. 'the owner <br />I~as agreed to provide weed control and stocking of ttie fishing ponds. <br />Also that part that will not be involved in the mining operations <br />will continue to be planted in field crop. <br />It is the desire of the owners of the land and minerals that the area <br />be preserved in the above manner. <br />RECLAMATION STANDARDS <br />Reclamation shall conform where applicable td the Weld County Zo:ining <br />Regualtions and to the full provisions of the Colorado Open Mining <br />Land Reclamation Act of 1976. This is a dredge operation in a wet <br />pit, and the proper slope will be maintained by placing waste fines <br />back in the water and shaping the banks as operations proceed. Bet:ween~ ~ ~ <br />E~~{e ponc~ssan~ propeY°ty l~iries ttte4r@ dill %~~~ieen`belt~ar~a~S~eP•S/,. ~ ono be s eP•I `~"~+n <br />Z:( <br />Revegatation of the disturbed bank areas will be accomplished in the <br />following manner: Topsoil accumulated along the ponds will be <br />reapplied to the areas to be seeded at a depth of six to twelve inches, <br />and graded as to create a final topography appropirate to the final <br />land use. <br />If backfilling is needed waste fines and overburden materials will be <br />used and compacted for stability and Co prevent leaching of toxic <br />materials. <br />All grading shall be done in a manner to control erosion and to protect <br />areas outside the affected lands. All refuse and acid-forming producing <br />materials that have been mined shall be handled and disposed of in a manner <br />that will control unsightliness and protect the drainage system from <br />pollution. <br />Seeding will be completed within one year after operations of each <br />phase or within the next planting season after compleation. The seedmix <br />will be drilled with a grassland drill equiped with depth bands, seedbox <br />agitator and packer wheels. <br />See the following pages for the seed mixture to be used. Each se•=_dmix <br />coresponds to a Range Site developed by the Soil Conservation Ser'~ice. <br />The first seedmixture is recomended for all Range Sites because o:E its <br />easy vegatation establishment. <br />
