Mulch may be used on the south-facing slopes, if the fallowing
conditions are encountered. First, if the planting occurs after Fpril
• i5 then a mulch of straw at a rate of about 3040 lbs./acre will be used.
Second, if the preceeding winter has been unusually dry and the moisture
in the soil and/or sand is very deficient at a depth of six inches or
greater, then a mulch will be used. It must be noted, that between now
and then some experiments may be run to determine whether the conditions
where mulch would be needed should be expanded or reduced. There is
little information available on this subject and therefore
determinations are best made through an empirical approach that will
provide good guidance in the practical application of the method.
Na irrigation is expected to 6e used under this plan for
revegetation as there should not 6e a need for additional water when
using these species. However, if the site is developed, then it is
• expected that irrigation would be used far landscaping of the building
sites.
•
F'AGE 8 OF B - EXHIBIT E
