JOUFLAS: Thank you, Mr. Brown. <br />Robert Gillis. <br />MR. GILLIS: I'm Robert Gillis. I'm <br />a citizen of Colorado since 1956, 32 years. <br />I've worked with the mining industry <br />for 42 years. I've served as the engineer, the <br />contractor, the consultant. I think I'm qualified. <br />I've been a design engineer, project engineer, <br />project manager, up through the ranks. <br />I'm experienced in extractive <br />metallurgy, including those processes used in the <br />gold industry. My professional activities have <br />included an active membership in Colorado Mining <br />Association for about 16 years as a director. <br />2 have been made very aware of the <br />goals of the State of Colorado, of our Governor, and <br />the desire to safely develop our State resources. <br />I would like to suggest the definition <br />of a successful project. It takes what I call <br />a match, a match of an adequate quality ore reserve. <br />It takes economical methods of mining and the <br />metallurgical extraction of the metal -- in this <br />
