Description of Operation and Reclamation -- Additional sheets may be attached <br />(Exhibits B & E-MLR) <br />Mining Plan: Topsoil of about 12" will be removed and stockpiled on West Part of <br />track. Overburden of about 27" will be removed and stockpiled. Stockpile slopes will <br />be generally about 3:1 which is three to one on side and 4:1 on end. Removal will begin <br />at about the middle of the tract and proceed in an easterly direction. Material will <br />be removed by front end loader, Mining of gravel will be performed to the underlying <br />shell layer, a total depth of about 12 feet. Front end loaders will load gravel into <br />trucks for hauling away of the gravel. A screeing plant will not be used, An estimated <br />two acres will be mined per calendar year for a total of about 40 cyds/year. <br />Reclamation Plan: Following mining banks will be sloped to not steeper than 5:1 <br />slopes. Overburden will be spread over the site maintaining the 5:1 or flatter slopes. <br />Topsoil will be replaced to a depth of 8" compacted and seeded to cover crop of forage <br />sorghum in Spring or early Summer, Forage sorghum at seeding rate of 8" pls per acre <br />will be drilled. Late Fall or early Spring, seeding of following mixture_will be seeded <br />using a suitable drill.
