described above. The 3:1 slope along the north side of the property will be established
as the excavation is being made.
There will be no offices; shop; maintenance, or plant buildings; processing buildings;
processing facilities or any underground openings on the site.
f See Sheets 1-4 for a detailed, scaled site grading and reclamation plan which
shows existing features as well as existing and proposed contours.
g A 40' wide haul road will be constructed across the existing drainage. An
addendum to the City's Corps of Engineers 404 permit has been obtained to make this
crossing. A temporary 48" storm sewer culvert was installed in the drainage channel.
This pipe is sufficient to carry a 10-year frequency storm. The pipe crossing was
bedded on a synthetic fabric material in order to make the removal of the pipe easier
while protecting the wetlands area. A State Stormwater Permit has been acquired for
this site. The road will be used during the mining and hauling of the gravel materials.
This road will also be used during the reclamation of the west side of the operation.
Upon completion of the west side reclamation, this road will be removed and reclaimed.
The mining operation on the west side should be completed by the summer of 2007
h The only water used for the mining operation will be for dust control on the haul
road. This water will be obtained for other locations out side of the mining boundaries.
i Seep water was encountered on the east side. It is from an artesian well located
at the south east corner of the site. The water is seeping along the gravel and
claystone layer. This water will be directed to the wetland area located on the south
side of the operation. The wetlands area is feed from the well water also. No additional
water will be added to the wetlands area.
j The mining operation will not impact any existing water rights. A stormwater
management plan has been developed for this site and a State Stormwater Permit has
been acquired. Silt fence has been installed as a part of the Stormwater management
plan prepared for this site.
k There will not be refuse and acid or toxic materials generated or handled in this
mining operation.
I Reclamation activities will be stated as soon as the mining operations are
completed in the summer of 2007. Reclamation activates and storm water
management practices will prevent off site damage and stabilize the site for future land
use.
m No on site processing of the mined materials will be done.
2529 HIGH COUNTRY COURT,GRANDJUNCTION, C081501 P[970]2564177 F[970]2564014 riversidenkwv(a~zicitv.ore
