Land Reclamation Division
February 20, 1990
Page 6

c. The slope of the riverside berm will be 3:1.
d. We concur.
e. The spillways will be sized to keep out a 10 year flood in
similar manner as the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District.
11. Since the dike is now removed, this is not applicable.
12. An outlet spillway in this area will serve no useful purpose
since we do not propose to have a berm around the lake. We are
using the existing ground elevation. We will only have spillways
located in an area where we physically have constructed a berm
above the natural ground.
13. This is an estimate based on the amount of water replenished %,(-
for the wash plant. Other losses are accounted for in the
moisture loss in materials hauled from the site.
14. The Baumgartner Wells were decreed in case W-2518. Well No.
1 has a decree for 3.11 cfs to irrigate 160 acres of land. Well
No. 2 has a decree of 0.89 cfs. to irrigate 120 acres. If both
wells were allowed to divert their full entitlement and the
average annual application was 2.5 feet of water, they would have
approximately 700 acre-feet available. Reducing this in half for
consumptive use would indicate approximately 350 acre-feet of
consumptive use water. This actual amount available would be
less based on the seniority of the water rights.
15. We concur with parts a and b.
16. The measures that would be taken to protect well owners are
as follows:
a. Resetting the pump in a well to a lower elevation.
b. Redrilling the well to a deeper aquifer.
... Hauling water to the property owner.
